What we collect

If you complete the enquiry form we receive the name, email address, matter type and message you enter. If you email us we receive whatever your message contains. The site itself sets no advertising cookies.

Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry, to run a conflict check, and to keep the file records a regulated practice is required to keep. A real firm should state its lawful basis for each of these.

How long we keep it

An enquiry that does not become a matter is deleted within twelve months. Files for completed matters are retained for the period a firm’s own retention policy specifies, which is commonly six years for most civil work and longer for property and estates.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
