Guideline hourly rates are banded by grade and by region. They are a starting point for assessment between parties, not a price list, and most of our work is quoted as a fixed fee anyway. We publish them because an estimate you cannot check is not an estimate.

How the grades work

Grade A is a solicitor or legal executive of eight years or more. Grade B is four years or more. Grade C covers other solicitors and legal executives. Grade D is a trainee or paralegal. Every person on this page is invented, as is the firm.
